Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Area Sanitation Coordinator to oversee sanitation operations across several sites in and around Vereeniging, Gauteng. The role focuses on maintaining high hygiene standards, ensuring compliance with health and environmental regulations, and driving continuous improvement within a team-driven environment.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational and leadership skills, experience with cleaning protocols, and the ability to manage resources and travel

Qualifications

• 4+ years in sanitation management or related field.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment and best practices.
• Understanding of OHS and environmental regulations.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.
• Willingness to travel within assigned area.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate sanitation activities across multiple client locations.
• Develop and implement standardized cleaning procedures and schedules.
• Ensure all sites adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Conduct regular site inspections and performance evaluations of sanitation teams.
• Manage inventory and distribution of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Provide training and support to site supervisors and cleaning staff.
• Address and resolve sanitation-related issues or client concerns promptly.
• Monitor budgets and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
• Liaise with clients to ensure satisfaction with sanitation services provided.
• Maintain accurate records of operations, inspections, and staff performance.
