Job summary

Bidvest Facilities Management is seeking an experienced HVAC technician to perform planned, preventive and emergency maintenance on air-conditioning and water reticulation units. You will install, commission and inspect equipment, identify risks on-site, and report for rectification to meet client service standards.

Requirements include N3-N6 in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC trade-test, valid SA license, and SAP/Office proficiency; 5-8 years in field maintenance preferred.

Qualifications

• Matric/Senior Certificate or equivalent.
• N3-N6 in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Trade-Test in HVAC is required; additional Electrical trade-test advantageous.
• Valid SA Driver's License and ability to travel as needed.
• Experience with HVAC and water reticulation maintenance and digital controls.
• MS Word, Excel & Outlook proficiency; SAP knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned, preventive and emergency maintenance on HVAC and water systems.
• Install, commission and test air-conditioning and reticulation equipment per specs.
• Inspect sites, identify risks and report for rectification.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, SLA and job plans.
• Provide feedback to Supervisor and Client on restoration of operations.
• Maintain high quality and timely completion of field requests.
