Job description

Senior Human Resources Officer – Remote in Eastern Cape.

Seeking an experienced and highly organized Senior Human Resources Officer to support and enhance the company’s human resources functions.

The ideal candidate will bring strong interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships across all levels of the organisation and solid administrative and organisational capabilities to ensure efficient and compliant HR operations.

Salary: R40 000 per month commensurate with qualification and experience.

Requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma in Human Resources Management, or a related field
  • Minimum 4 to 6 years of HR experience, with exposure to a wide range of HR functions
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build trust and positive working relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent administrative and organizational abilities with attention to detail and follow-through
  • Sound knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Adaptable, proactive, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively
  • Strong character to be able to fit into company culture

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in logistics, supply chain, or a related industry is an asset
  • Experience with global companies and staff is a plus
  • Experience coordinating payroll and benefits administration is a plus

Key Performance Areas:

  • Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of strategic HR initiatives aligned with company goals
  • Administer and update HR policies, procedures, and programs, ensuring compliance with applicable labour laws and internal standards
  • Coordinate and manage day-to-day HR operations including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, and performance management
  • Assist in maintaining an effective organizational structure and support initiatives in organizational development and workforce planning
  • Work closely with managers and employees to address workplace issues, promoting a positive and productive work environment
  • Oversee and maintain accurate employee records, ensuring confidentiality and data integrity
  • Collaborate with finance to process payroll, bonuses, and commissions in a timely and accurate manner
  • Track and report on HR metrics (KPI’s) to provide insights into HR performance and workforce trends
  • Help coordinate staff meetings, feedback sessions, and team-building events to strengthen company culture
  • Monitor health and safety standards and coordinate actions to maintain a safe working environment
  • Support the development of training and development programs, succession planning, and retention strategies
  • Maintain and update organizational charts in coordination with Department Heads
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR systems and processes, including HRIS enhancements
  • Other related tasks as assigned
