Job description

This position is based in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town and available immediately. Your skillset and understanding of managing both white and blue collar staff, will make you a suitable candidate. Hands-on role, where you will be involve in all HR initiatives / projects, Performance and Absence Management, Compensation and Benefits, Industrial relations, Employment equity, Change Management and Training and Development. As Head of People, you will :

Requirements :

  • Matric with relevant HR qualification
  • Minimum of 10 years relevant working experience as Senior HR Manager
  • Computer Literate
  • Ability to adept at partnering with business leaders to develop strategic people plans aligned with business objectives
  • Experience with learning and development

Duties :

  • Full range of day-to-day People Operations services, across multiple sites
  • Implement HR Strategies in line with business needs
  • Operate fully as a collaborative partner to the Operations team
  • Provide guidance and support on site
  • Support complex IR / ER issues
  • Provide advice and support to the Managers on Employee Relations matters to : SA Labour Law, Policy compliance, Corrective measures / disciplinary action, conflict mediation and resolution, Performance Management, Grievance Process, CCMA - Conciliation and Arbitration
  • Employee Engagement
  • Manages a small HR team of 3, Administrator and Generalist.
  • Compile and submit Employment Equity Report and Plan, Health and Safety
