The BMS System Administrator (BMS Technician) ensures that all Data Centre Systems (Netbotz, DCE, EBO, and PME) are set up, tested, and configured to provide valid, accurate data at all times.

- Map current transformers and other power monitoring devices to internal systems.
- Verify data to confirm the correct values are being captured.
- Ensure no duplication of data.
- Set up virtual sensors on BMS systems.
- Enhance systems and automate reporting.
- Produce PME kWh reports.
- Generate SLA reports from EBO.
- Handle month-end billing for power exceeded and footprint billing.
- Monitor CT power on DCE.
- Log daily tickets for issues related to offline devices or unusual data readings on DCE.
- Configure CT and set up alarms for Ozone and DCE.
- Set up and configure virtual sensors on BMS systems.
- Update PME with new client and cabinet info regarding kWh.
- Investigate CT power-related tickets with Data Centre Technicians.
- Liaise with DCS teams for ticket resolution.
- Attend monthly power capacity meetings with management.
- Strive to improve current processes and introduce automation for simplification.
- Perform daily system checks to ensure devices are online, operational, and free from alarms.
- Ensure monitoring devices run the correct firmware version.
- Coordinate with national Operations teams to test and implement the latest firmware versions.
- Participate actively in new data centre builds or expansions.
- Complete comprehensive root cause analyses for all monitoring system incidents or outages.
- Respond promptly to potentially critical situations.
- Manage third-party vendors for hardware and software support.
- Participate in network, physical, and cyber security matters related to monitoring systems.
- Assist with operational requests to troubleshoot and resolve configuration issues.
- Review daily reports to identify outliers and collaborate with Data Analysts for resolution.
- Proactively review monitoring reports to identify potential issues within 24 business hours.
- Identify and report cabinets exceeding environmental thresholds.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.
- Meet inter-departmental Operational Level Agreements (OLAs).
- Implement company and departmental policies, processes, and work instructions according to quality standards and timelines.
