Key Job Functions :
1. HR Compliance :
- Ensure compliance with labour legislation (BCEA, LRA, SDA) and internal HR policies.
- Ensure company adherence to HR policies and processes.
- Assist with relevant Ethical Trade Compliance Audits.
2. Recruitment and Onboarding :
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle for a wide variety of roles.
- Conduct employee onboarding and orientation programs to ensure smooth integration of new hires.
3. Performance Management :
- Facilitate annual and bi-annual performance review processes (e.g., goal setting, mid-year reviews, year-end KPA reviews).
- Offer guidance to employees on self-assessments and development discussions.
- Track completion rates of performance reviews and escalate non-compliance.
4. Talent Management :
- Assist and support the implementation of talent review processes.
- Collaborate with leadership to ensure Individual Development Plans are in place for key talent and successors.
5. Employee Relations :
- Promote and maintain constructive labour relations across all sites in Cape Town by facilitating employment matters in a fair, objective, and legally compliant manner.
- Provide sound ER support to line Managers and Supervisors.
- Represent the Company at the CCMA as required.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with unions and workplace committees.
6. Skills Development :
- Execute the Annual Training Plan and manage Discretionary Grants.
- Implement and monitor learnerships, bursaries, internships, and skills programs.
- Coordinate and run Skills Development Committee Meetings.
7. HR Projects and Reporting :
- Lead HR improvement projects aligned with best practices.
- Manage HR administration processes and payroll input.
- Prepare routine HR reports and update dashboards as required.
8. Culture, Engagement, and Employee Wellness :
- Act as a culture ambassador to foster trust, recognition, and purpose through meaningful programs.
- Monitor and analyze employee sentiment and engagement levels to improve cultural alignment.
- Support Wellness Calendar initiatives to promote well-being across the organization.
Knowledge and Experience Required :
- Relevant HR tertiary qualification (Degree or Diploma).
- 4+ years of generalist HR experience, with extensive exposure to Skills Development and Recruitment.
Additional Skills and Experience :
- Experience with CCMA representation is advantageous.
- Knowledge of labour legislation, especially BCEA, LRA, SDA.
- Experience in FMCG, wholesale, or retail environments is preferred.
- Excellent understanding of HR processes.
