Our client, a well-established company in the Johannesburg South area, is seeking an experienced Site HR/IR Manager to spearhead their human resources and industrial relations functions. Key Focus Areas:- Complete employee lifecycle management from recruitment to retention
- Strategic industrial relations and union liaison
- Labour law compliance and governance
- Performance management and talent development
- Training coordination and skills development
- HR analytics and strategic reporting
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Human Resources Leadership:- Drive recruitment, onboarding, and employee development initiatives
- Implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives
- Lead employee engagement and wellness programs
- Manage succession planning and talent retention
Industrial Relations Excellence:- Serve as primary contact with trade unions and employee representatives
- Handle disciplinary procedures, grievances, and CCMA matters
- Lead wage negotiations and union consultations
- Maintain stable industrial relations climate
Compliance & Strategic Support:- Ensure adherence to all labour legislation and collective agreements
- Conduct HR audits and manage external inspections
- Generate meaningful HR metrics and analytics
- Present monthly reports to management
WHAT YOU BRING
Essential Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in HR, Industrial Psychology, Labour Relations, or related field
- 5-8 years senior HR/IR experience in unionised environment
- Proven track record in disciplinary processes and CCMA representation
- Strong union negotiation experience
Technical Expertise:- Comprehensive knowledge of BCEA, LRA, EE Act, and Skills Development Act
- Advanced Excel skills and HRIS system proficiency
- Experience with Department of Labour and SETA requirements
