About the Role

Our client is a dynamic and rapidly expanding hospitality group seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Senior Hospitality Operations Manager to join their remote-first team. This pivotal role will oversee a portfolio of diverse hospitality venues, ensuring operational excellence, profitability, and exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the hospitality industry, a proven track record in managing complex operations, and the ability to lead and motivate teams from a distance. You will be instrumental in shaping the strategic direction of our client's operational initiatives, driving innovation, and maintaining the highest standards of service delivery across all locations. This position is fully remote, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within South Africa.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic operational plans to achieve business objectives and growth targets.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple hospitality establishments, ensuring efficiency and adherence to company standards.
• Manage budgets, control costs, and drive revenue generation initiatives for all assigned properties.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a distributed team of hospitality professionals, fostering a positive and high-performance culture.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations across all operational sites.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions to optimize performance.
• Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to enhance guest satisfaction and build brand loyalty.
• Conduct regular remote performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to direct reports.
• Drive innovation in operational processes and service delivery to maintain a competitive edge.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in hospitality management, with at least 3 years in a senior operational leadership role.
• Demonstrated success in managing multiple hospitality venues or a large-scale operation.
• Strong financial acumen, including P&L management, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and manage remote teams effectively.
• Proficiency in hospitality management software and digital collaboration tools.
• A strategic thinker with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.
• Deep understanding of operational best practices in the hospitality sector.
