Placements24 is searching for a Senior Healthcare Architect to lead the design of state-of-the-art medical facilities in Polokwane. The role requires deep knowledge of healthcare planning, regulatory requirements, and the unique needs of hospitals, clinics, and laboratories.

You will collaborate with healthcare professionals, engineers, and project managers to create environments that promote healing, efficiency, and patient safety, contributing to healthcare infrastructure in Limpopo.

Qualifications

• Lead the design and planning of complex healthcare facilities, including hospitals, clinics, and specialized medical centers.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, standards (e.g., National Health Act, SANS standards for healthcare), and best practices.
• Collaborate with medical practitioners, administrators, and user groups to integrate operational needs into the design.
• Develop functional space programs and detailed architectural drawings for medical facilities in Polokwane.
• Coordinate with MEP engineers, structural engineers, and medical equipment planners to ensure seamless integration.
• Manage project teams and stakeholders throughout the design and construction phases.

You will collaborate with healthcare professionals, engineers, and project managers to create environments that promote healing, efficiency, and patient safety. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and planning of complex healthcare facilities , including hospitals, clinics, and specialized medical centers.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations, standards (e.g., National Health Act, SANS standards for healthcare), and best practices.
• Collaborate closely with medical practitioners, administrators, and user groups to understand and integrate their operational needs into the design.
• Develop functional space programs and detailed architectural drawings for medical facilities in Polokwane .
• Coordinate with MEP engineers, structural engineers, and medical equipment planners to ensure seamless integration.
• Manage project teams and stakeholders throughout the design and construction phases.

Requirements

• Professional Architect qualification (PrArch) and registration with SACAP.
• A minimum of 8 years of architectural experience, with at least 5 years dedicated to healthcare architecture .
• In-depth knowledge of healthcare design principles, medical workflows, and infection control strategies.
• Proven experience in designing and delivering complex hospital projects.
• Proficiency in Revit and other relevant architectural design software.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
