A leading facilities management company is seeking a Maintenance Technician to apply their skills in technical maintenance across various sites. The role involves performing corrective and preventative maintenance, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Ideal candidates will have at least 5 years of maintenance experience and relevant technical qualifications.
Provide and apply minor maintenance skills and knowledge within the Facilities Management environment on planned, preventative and reactive maintenance
POSITION INFO :
Key Accountabilities / Principle Responsibilities Perform Technical Maintenance
Perform corrective, planned and preventative maintenance
Repairs to all building fabric carpentry and joinery
Repairs to locks, handles hinges and accessories
Conduct minor building repairs, maintenance and painting
Report all technical defects and rectify
Perform daily routine building inspections and report to line manager
Maintain tools and equipment and record
Familiarise with the layout and facilities of the site and adhere to the client house rules
Establish and maintain a good working relationship with the management and staff of the site where based
Adhere to ad-hoc reasonable requests from management
Conduct Maintenance Inspections
Inspect all facilities are in good working order
Inspect tiling and paved surfaces
Inspect all partitioning, ceilings, roof and building structure
Inspect windows and doors are all in good order
Inspect all painted surfaces are in good order
Report / communicate defects / repairs to Manager
OHSA Compliance
Ensure compliance to all Health and Safety Standards.
Implement Health and Safety Management system with staff and sub-contractors. (Management System attached)
It should be noted that, for operational reasons, it may be necessary to perform tasks other than those described herein from time to time.
Prescribed procedures may be amended by management as and when required
Qualification Requirements and work-related experience
Grade 12
Trade Certificate / Technical Courses
Minimum 5year solid maintenance working experience in a built environment
