Key Responsibilities

Conduct virtual consultations with patients to diagnose hair loss conditions and assess suitability for hair transplant surgery. Develop personalized hair restoration treatment plans, including surgical and non-surgical options. Provide expert trichological diagnosis and management for various forms of alopecia. Oversee and guide affiliated surgical teams remotely, ensuring adherence to best practices and quality standards. Educate patients on pre-operative preparations, surgical procedures, and post-operative care protocols. Review and interpret patient progress reports and provide ongoing recommendations for recovery and maintenance. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in hair transplant surgery, medical therapies, and trichology research. Collaborate with the marketing team to create educational content and support patient outreach efforts. Maintain meticulous patient records and documentation within the practice's systems. Contribute to research initiatives and potential publication in the field of hair restoration. Advise on the development of new treatment protocols and service offerings. Ensure compliance with all relevant medical and ethical regulations.

Requirements

Medical Doctor (MD) or equivalent qualification with specialization in Dermatology or Plastic Surgery. Board Certification in Dermatology or Plastic Surgery is mandatory. Fellowship training or extensive experience in Hair Transplant Surgery is required. Certification or recognized expertise in Trichology. Minimum of 10 years of surgical experience, with at least 7 years dedicated to hair transplantation. Proven track record of successful patient outcomes and high patient satisfaction. Excellent diagnostic skills and a comprehensive understanding of scalp and hair biology. Strong understanding of FUE, FUT, and other advanced hair restoration techniques. Proficiency in using telehealth platforms and digital medical record systems. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and patient counseling skills. Ability to work autonomously and manage a remote practice effectively. This role is fully remote, but requires the candidate to be based within proximity or have ties to Soweto, Gauteng, ZA to potentially interface with local affiliated clinics if required.
