Senior Groundwater Numerical Modeller / Hydrogeologist

Join SRK Consulting as a Senior Groundwater Numerical Modeller / Hydrogeologist

We are seeking a qualified candidate for the role of Groundwater Numerical Modeller at our Johannesburg office. This position offers opportunities for professional growth and skill development.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Business Unit Partner in Hydrogeology.

Location

JHB - Northern Suburbs, Gauteng

Experience and Skills Required

• Professional Registration: Pr.Sci.Nat
• Educational Qualifications: Minimum BSc (Hons) in Hydrogeology; MSc preferred
• Experience: At least 4 years in groundwater numerical modelling and 8 years as a hydrogeologist
• Technical Skills: Data analysis, hydrogeological data interpretation, conceptual model design, proficiency in Python, GIS, Leapfrog, and related tools; experience in seepage evaluation and contaminant transport modelling

Responsibilities

• Manage projects, liaising with clients and preparing reports, proposals, and presentations
• Work independently and collaboratively within project teams
• Collaborate across disciplines and branches
• Travel locally and internationally as needed
• Mentor junior staff
• Expand client base
