You will collaborate with system operators, power plant managers, and regulatory bodies from anywhere in South Africa, bringing 8+ years in power systems engineering and a proactive approach to grid

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with Power Systems specialization.
• 8+ years in power grid operations or planning.
• Strong knowledge of power system dynamics, load forecasting, and contingency analysis.
• Experience with SCADA, EMS, and grid simulation tools.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.

You will be responsible for monitoring grid performance, analyzing operational data, and developing strategies to manage power flow, voltage, and frequency. Working from anywhere, you will collaborate with system operators, power plant managers, and regulatory bodies to maintain grid integrity, especially during peak demand periods and unexpected events.
