Job summary

Village N Life is seeking a Senior Graphic Designer to translate its visual identity across all touchpoints for the brand and its sub-brands. You will lead the conceptualisation and execution of creative solutions across print and digital, ensuring brand language remains consistent with our standards.

Job description

SUMMARY

The Senior Graphic Designer plays a pivotal role in translating the visual identity of Village n Life, along with its portfolio of sub-brands and associated entities, across all visual touchpoints. This role is responsible for the conceptualisation and execution of creative solutions across both print and digital platforms, ensuring consistent application of each brand’s unique visual language while maintaining alignment with overarching brand standards.

Working closely with the Marketing, Sales and Production teams, the Senior Graphic Designer will lead a team of graphic designers, guiding creative direction and ensuring high standards of execution across all deliverables. This position demands a hands‑on leader who can both conceptualise strategically and execute effectively, supporting a wide range of campaigns and collateral across the hospitality, tourism, wellness, and lifestyle sectors.

This is a fully on‑site role that requires a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with a strong sense of visual storytelling, brand architecture, and multi‑brand design systems. The ideal candidate is experienced in leading design initiatives and creative teams, and thrives in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment where strategic alignment and creative excellence are paramount.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION: Grade 12 or equivalent.

Relevant tertiary qualification in Graphic Design, Visual Communication or

similar field.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 3 – 5 years’ experience in a senior graphic design role.

Proven experience in brand development and corporate identity design.

Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).

Experience across print, packaging, digital, and environmental design.

Understanding of the principles of marketing and brand communication.

Previous experience in the hospitality, tourism, or lifestyle industries will be a distinct advantage.

Knowledge of UI design and digital asset creation beneficial.

Experience in photography direction and preparing artwork for production a plus.

Valid drivers’ licence and own roadworthy vehicle.

Deep understanding of the properties and services within the portfolio, with a strong grasp of other Village N Life properties and their offerings.

Industry Knowledge:

Up‑to‑date with design trends in the travel, lifestyle and hospitality sectors. Understanding how design influences guest perception.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Brand Custodianship
  • Lead the application of corporate identities across visual materials.
  • Design and evolve brand templates, typography, iconography, and collateral systems.
  • Uphold the integrity of all brands across all internal and external touchpoints.
Graphic Design and Production
  • Design promotional, sales and campaign materials including brochures, posters, signage, menus, presentations, and merchandise.
  • Create artwork for social media, emailers, web design content and paid media campaigns.
  • Ensure all output adheres to brand tone and visual language.
Campaign Design Support
  • Interpret briefs from the marketing team and translate them into strong creative outcomes.
  • Collaborate on seasonal, product and event campaigns, ensuring cohesive visuals across platforms.
  • Work with copywriters, photographers, and content teams to deliver fully integrated marketing materials.
Design for Hospitality Assets
  • Support the creation of in‑room collateral, property signage, menus, wellness and spa materials.
  • Develop guest‑facing print and digital materials that reflect brand quality and attention to detail.
Design Process & Quality Control
  • Ensure all artwork is reviewed, proofed and ready for production or publishing.
  • Liaise with printers and production vendors where necessary.
  • Maintain a structured digital archive of design assets.
Mentorship & Design Leadership
  • Provide creative guidance to junior team members and assist in elevating the team’s design standards.
  • Take initiative in proposing new design ideas and solutions.
