Job summary

A leading agricultural company in Noord-Kaap is seeking a professional to assist the Silo Manager in the operation of the silo and to determine the grade of commodities fairly and ethically. The ideal candidate should have Grade 12, relevant experience, and strong communication skills in Afrikaans and English. This position requires good administrative skills and a valid driver’s license. Willingness to work long hours is essential.

Qualifications

• 3 Years relevant experience.
• Grain Grading courses successfully completed.
• Experience in food safety an added advantage.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Grading of Commodities (Grain).
• Control over stock.
• Management of administration.
• Comply with safety regulations as well as that of food safety.

Verleen hulp aan die Silo Bestuur m.b.t. die werking van die silo en bepaling van die graad van kommoditeite op ‘n etiese en regverdige manier.

Minimum Vereistes:

• Graad 12;
• 3 Jaar toepaslike ondervinding;
• Toepaslike naskoolse kwalifikasie voordelig;
• Graan graderings kursusse voltooi;
• Ondervinding in voedselveiligheid voordelig;
• Geldige rybewys.

Vaardighede:

• Goeie kommunikasie- en taalvaardighede in Afrikaans en Engels;
• Rekenaarvaardig (MS Office);
• Goeie interpersoonlike vaardighede;
• Liggaamlike vaardighede om die werk te kan doen (klim van Silos ens);
• Sterk administratiewe orientasie;
• Bereidwilligheid om lang ure te werk.

Verantwoordelikhede:

• Gradering van Kommoditeite (Graan);
• Beheer van Voorraad;
• Byhou van administrasie;
• Voldoen aan veiligheidsregulasies asook voedselveiligheid.

Main purpose of the position:

To provide support to the Silo Manager with regards to the operation of the Silo and determining the grade of commodities (grain) in a fair and ethical manner.
