Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd in Gauteng seeks a Senior Advisor Prof Geographic Information Systems to lead, manage and develop geospatial resources, guiding GIS strategy, spatial analytics, and information management to support network operations and asset management at Megawatt Park.

The role requires deep GIS expertise, project leadership, and the ability to translate client requirements into robust GIS solutions, with emphasis on dashboards and web map applications.

Qualifications

• B Degree/BTech/Advanced Diploma in Engineering Survey/Cartography/Geomatics/Geoinformatics at NQF7 with 360 credits.
• 5 years minimum experience in the Geospatial field, GIS, remote sensing, spatial data processing, geo-analytics and project management.
• Professional Registration Body: SAGC

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop geospatial resources and provide strategic direction in GIS and GISc to support decisions, network operations, assets and divisional objectives.
• Monitor and manage the Network Information System (NIS) and GIS products.
• Provide technical leadership and training support in GIS
• Develop Geospatial Dashboards and Web Map applications.
