Job summary

RPO Recruitment’s client in Centurion is seeking a Senior Geology Consultant to join the geology team. The role focuses on exploration, geological modelling, and Mineral Resource estimation with exposure to multiple commodities.

You will support exploration programmes, technical studies, and resource evaluation projects while collaborating with clients and multidisciplinary teams. Reporting to the Principal Geologist, you will help deliver high-quality technical work and grow client

Qualifications

• BSc (Hons) in Geology is required.
• SACNASP registration essential.
• Minimum 4 years of geological experience.
• At least 2 years in either production or exploration geology.
• Strong understanding of the mining value chain.
• Experience with geological modelling and Mineral Resource estimation.
• GIS experience advantageous.
• Exposure to multiple commodities beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist with geological modelling and Mineral Resource estimation.
• Support exploration planning, management, and programme execution.
• Conduct technical data analysis, interpretation, and reporting.
• Assist with technical report compilation per JORC, SAMREC, and NI 43-101.
• Coordinate project activities to meet deadlines and quality standards.
• Support development and improvement of technical methodologies and practices.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Identify potential business development opportunities.
• Stay informed on industry trends, technical advancements, and best practices.
