Senior Restaurant General Manager required by an established upmarket Grill and Seafood Restaurant in Parktown (Johannesburg).

My client is seeking a seasoned restaurant manager who embodies entrepreneurial spirit and ownership mentality.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing restaurant operations and demonstrating a strong sense of ownership, akin to running their own establishment.

They will thrive in an environment where they are empowered to make decisions that directly impact the success and profitability of the restaurant.

Responsibilities & Duties
  1. Business Management: Responsible for overall management of the restaurant, including budgeting, financial planning, and ensuring profitability.
  2. Staff Management: Hiring, training, and managing restaurant staff such as chefs, servers, and kitchen personnel.
  3. Quality Control: Ensuring food and service meet quality standards and customer expectations.
  4. Customer Service: Overseeing customer service to ensure a positive dining experience and handling complaints or issues.
  5. Health and Safety Compliance: Adhering to health and safety regulations to maintain a safe and clean environment.
  6. Inventory and Supply Chain Management: Managing inventory levels and suppliers to ensure ingredient availability and control costs.
  7. Financial Management: Handling payroll, expenses, and revenue tracking.
  8. Operational Efficiency: Streamlining operations to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.
Desired Experience & Qualifications
  • Matriculation
  • 5+ years' experience in restaurant management
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English and Afrikaans
  • Experience with PILOT software
  • Clear criminal record (a polygraph test will be conducted before employment)
Package & Remuneration

Basic monthly salary (negotiable, dependent on experience) plus equity shares and monthly profits.
