Job summary

Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you will lead a high performing team, drive process improvements, manage stakeholder relationships, and ensure timely SLA adherence across multiple funds.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance is required.
• Honours or postgraduate diploma in accounting is advantageous.
• SAICA designation or equivalent advantageous.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in pension funds or large fund arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Manage treasury activities including forecasting and daily investment/disinvestment decisions.
• Oversee accounting controls, SOPs, and month-end reconciliations.
• Coordinate fund investments/disinvestments with managers and custodians.
• Plan and coordinate audits; prepare annual financial statements.
• Ensure timely fund valuations with actuary involvement.
• Ensure FSCA, SARS, SARB regulatory adherence and quarterly reporting.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, budget tracking, and board packs.
• Lead and develop the fund accounting team and drive process improvements.
• Maintain SLA adherence and strong stakeholder relationships.
