Job summary

JTC Group is seeking a Fund Accountant to collate, calculate and sign off NAVs for funds under management. The role involves producing financial statements, cash management, reconciliations and regulatory-compliant reporting in a hybrid Cape Town setting.

You will work with InvestOne and Investran, support audits, and coordinate with clients, dealers and custodians to ensure accurate, timely NAV delivery and finance operations.

Qualifications

• A relevant tertiary qualification preferably including Accounting; Finance; Investments.
• Minimum of 2 to 5 years investment fund administration or related experience.
• Prior experience and in-depth understanding of private equity or other alternative investment funds.
• Good accounting and investment product knowledge.
• Excellent numeracy skills.
• Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, monitor and capture cash movements and investment trades for accurate NAV delivery.
• Prepare capital call and distribution notices for review and distribution to investors.
• Perform weekly/monthly cash and stock reconciliations and investigate differences.
• Monitor asset pricing for corporate actions to ensure correct valuation in NAV.
• Prepare and verify expense and accrual calculations for NAV accuracy.
• Prepare NAV and support reviewers to ensure timely delivery.
• Investigate queries with dealers, custodians, auditors and clients for timely resolution.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, SLAs and internal controls.
• Prepare valuation emails and deliver statements to predefined distribution lists.
• Attend pre- and post-audit meetings and update delivery matrices accordingly.
