Job summary

AZ Consulting seeks an experienced Functional Tester in Gauteng to craft and execute manual test plans for a financial application, review requirements, and translate them for development. The role also involves preparing test data, testing for defects, and aligning QA activities with governance and risk management.

The contract is 6-9 months, full-time with a hybrid work setup (2-3 days/week on-site) at Rosebank offices, starting ASAP.

Qualifications

• 7-10+ yrs in Functional Testing / QA, preferably with custom C# Dev apps.
• 4-5 yrs exp. with FinTech / Banking apps is also required.
• Skills in SQL and API’s (web services) are advantageous.
• Full understanding of Integration, User Acceptance and Regression testing.
• From a Consulting background

Responsibilities

• Draft and execute manual Test Plans for a Financial application.
• Review requirements and help with technical translation for development.
• Prepare Test data for each of the Test Cases and test for software defects.
• Align QA activities with overall Project Governance and Risk Management.
• Provide Test Plans for UAT and ensure test feedback is escalated.
