Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of end-to-end software development covering both frontend and backend aspects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, architect scalable solutions, and implement feature-rich applications.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, providing leadership in best practices and tool adoption.
• Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering continuous learning and skill development.
• Manage workload effectively, meeting project timelines and objectives.
• Contribute to the design and architecture of scalable and maintainable systems, ensuring adherence to industry standards.
• Identify opportunities for system optimization and implement improvements for better performance.
• Implement and advocate for coding standards to ensure high-quality, maintainable code.
• Conduct design and code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing.
• Work closely with product managers, UI/UX designers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Communicate effectively within the development team and across departments to foster collaboration and transparency.

Qualifications:

• Matric (Grade 12)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Honours degree in a related field will be advantageous.

Experience:

• At least 6 years of proven experience as a Full Stack Developer with expertise in frontend services and backend technologies.
• Expert in C#, .NET, Azure DevOps, JSON, OOP, SQL, MVC, Web Services (Restful or WCF), Entity Framework, Unit Testing, SSRS, .NET Core, Visual Studio.
• Experience in various development methodologies and frameworks such as WPF, MVC, ASP.
• Experience in Agile methodologies (Scrum).
• Strong understanding of database management systems, API development, and cloud platforms.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor a team, fostering a collaborative work culture.
• Solid experience in designing, developing, and deploying RESTful services, secure coding practices, data encryption, hashing, sharding, and separation of concerns.
• Experience in build, test, and deployment automation is advantageous.
• Strong full-stack development skills covering frontend services and backend technologies.
• Leadership and mentoring abilities to guide junior developers and promote continuous learning.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills for system optimization and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of software architecture design principles and industry best practices.
• Proficiency in Agile development methodologies, particularly Scrum.
• Ability to manage workload effectively, ensuring timely project delivery.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices, data encryption, and API security.
