Qualifications

• 8-10 years' experience in software development, particularly within a database development environment.
• At least 5 years' experience in Financial Adviser/cust. service or investment platform environment.
• Relevant commerce degree in IT/Finance/Economics/Statistics/Investment Management or Business Management.
• Strong technical and business analysis capabilities; translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; engage confidently with stakeholders.
• Multilingual capabilities would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Engage with business stakeholders to gather, analyse and document business requirements.

• Analyse existing systems and processes to identify opportunities for improvement and optimisation.

The successful candidate will have 8-10 years of development experience, combined with strong technical and business analysis capabilities. This role bridges the gap between business and technology, requiring the ability to understand business needs, translate requirements into effective technical solutions, and collaborate with multiple stakeholders across the organisation.

The incumbent will be involved throughout the solution lifecycle, from requirements analysis and solution design through to development, testing, implementation and ongoing support. A strong focus will be placed on delivering scalable, responsive and customer-focused digital applications and reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with business stakeholders to gather, analyse and document business requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• 8-10 years' experience in software development, particularly within a database development environment.

• At least 5 years' experience working within a Financial Adviser firm, Financial Services Customer Service environment or Investment Platform business.

• Relevant Commerce degree in IT, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Investment Management or Business Management.

• Strong technical analysis and business analysis capabilities, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to engage confidently with multiple stakeholders across business and technology teams.

• Multilingual capabilities would be advantageous.

Contract Details

• Additional Travel: Candidates based in Johannesburg may be required to travel to Cape Town periodically. The incumbent will also be required to work on-site with the vendor when needed.

• Duration: 12 months.
