Job summary

Vista Group is seeking an experienced web full stack developer in Cape Town to build responsive interfaces, APIs, and server-side components. You will work with React, TypeScript, and server-side languages while ensuring performance and cross-browser compatibility.

The role includes leading engineers, mentoring teams, and collaborating with product managers to deliver features on an Umbraco-backed CMS with CI/CD deployments. Hybrid work arrangement in Cape Town is required.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of web full stack development experience ideal in ecommerce
• Experience leading, mentoring, or coaching software engineers
• Strong level React, JavaScript, HTML, Typescript, SCSS/CSS & ES6 Vanilla JavaScript

Responsibilities

• Develop user interfaces and user experiences using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Work heavily with front-end frameworks such as React, JS, Typescript, SCSS/CSS
• Build server-side applications with Node.js, Python, Java, or PHP
• Develop and integrate APIs for front-end/back-end communication
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and address performance issues
• Deliver new and maintain existing features on the Umbraco-backed CMS
• Configure and maintain web servers and CI/CD pipelines
• Provide day-to-day people leadership for the team, coaching and performance management
