Placements24 is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join a remote-enabled tech startup serving underserved communities. You will design, develop, and deploy robust web applications across the stack, collaborating with product and design teams to deliver high-quality features from Soweto, Gauteng.

The role requires 5+ years of experience, strong JS frameworks, Node.js, databases, and cloud exposure. You will work in a lean startup environment with a strong social impact focus and modern tech

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional full-stack development experience.
• Strong proficiency in front-end technologies (e.g., JavaScript, React, Vue.js, Angular) and related frameworks.
• Expertise in back-end development languages and frameworks (e.g., Node.js, Python/Django, Ruby on Rails, Java/Spring).
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
• Understanding of RESTful API design principles.
• Experience with version control systems (Git).
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills, essential for remote collaboration.
• Demonstrated interest in technology for social impact is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable web applications from concept to deployment, covering both front-end and back-end components.
