Job summary

ATS Client is looking for a versatile developer who can move between frontend, backend, and database work to deliver production-ready features. You will craft slick interfaces with React 18, Vite, and TailwindCSS, while wiring powerful backend logic with Express and PostgreSQL.

You’ll ensure security and reliability, manage data with TanStack Query and React Hook Form + Zod, and own the pipeline from idea to live deployment. Collaboration with teams and external integrations is key.

Qualifications

• Have at least a couple of years of real-world development experience.
• Have built products that actual humans use.
• Can take a feature from idea to live without requiring constant prompting.

Responsibilities

• Turn product ideas and designs into real features across the stack, from UI to backend logic.
• Build smooth interfaces using React 18, Vite, TailwindCSS, and shadcn/ui.
• Write backend logic with Express and create fast, secure APIs.
• Manage frontend data with TanStack Query and validate forms with React Hook Form + Zod.
• Design and maintain clean data structures in PostgreSQL; write maintainable SQL.
• Ensure security with Helmet, rate limiting, and proper session handling.
• Convert UI/UX into pixel-perfect builds using TailwindCSS + Radix, with Framer Motion for polish.
• Handle navigation with React Router and work with maps (Leaflet) and icons (Lucide).
• Integrate with external services (PayFast, Nodemailer) and manage third-party APIs.
• Handle file uploads using Multer and maintain organized storage.
• Run in Docker with consistent environments across local, staging, and production.
• Push code to production via CI/CD (GitHub Actions) without issues.
• Debug tricky issues, refactor older code, and write clean commit messages.
• Follow security and engineering best practices across the board.
