Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in computer science or related field.
• 5+ years of professional full-stack development experience.
• Strong proficiency in front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3) and at least one modern framework (React, Angular, Vue.js).
• Solid experience with backend languages/frameworks (Node.js/Express, Python/Django/Flask, Java/Spring).

You will be instrumental in driving architectural decisions, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable software solutions. Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications using modern frameworks and languages (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js for front-end; Node.js, Python, Java for back-end). Build and manage RESTful APIs and microservices to support application functionality. Develop responsive and user-friendly front-end interfaces, ensuring excellent user experience. Manage database operations, including design, querying, and optimization for both SQL and NoSQL databases. Write clean, efficient, well-documented, and testable code following best practices. Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define requirements and deliver features. Optimize application performance for speed, scalability, and security. Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to foster team growth. Mentor and guide junior developers, promoting technical excellence and knowledge sharing. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the full stack. Stay updated with the latest web development trends and technologies.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 5+ years of professional experience in full-stack development. Strong proficiency in front-end technologies: JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and at least one modern framework (React, Angular, Vue.js). Solid experience with backend languages and frameworks (e.g., Node.js with Express, Python with Django/Flask, Java with Spring). Proficiency in database management (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB) and SQL/NoSQL querying. Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus. Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and CI/CD practices is advantageous. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a strong understanding of software architecture patterns. Effective communication and teamwork skills, experience with agile development methodologies. Proven ability to mentor junior engineers. Comfortable working in a hybrid model from Pretoria .
