Placements24 is recruiting a Senior Full Stack Developer for a fully remote role. The position supports candidates located nationwide, including Kimberley, Northern Cape, ZA.

You will build complete web applications end-to-end using React on the frontend and Node.js on the backend. The ideal candidate brings significant Full Stack experience, strong JavaScript, React, and Node.js skills, and a passion for scalable, user-friendly software.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a Full Stack Developer, delivering complete web applications from front to back.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3 with strong React.js and Node.js skills.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, databases (MongoDB or PostgreSQL), and version control (Git).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and containerization (Docker) is a plus.

• Design, develop, test, and deploy full-stack web applications using React on the frontend and Node.js on the backend.

About the Role

Our client, a fast-growing tech startup focused on innovative SaaS solutions, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Full Stack Developer to join their core engineering team. This is a fully remote position, ideal for candidates located in Kimberley, Northern Cape, ZA, or anywhere nationally, who excel in developing complete web applications from front to back. You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying robust features across both frontend and backend systems. We are looking for a developer with expertise in modern JavaScript frameworks like React for the frontend and Node.js for the backend, combined with a passion for creating efficient, scalable, and user-friendly applications. The ability to work autonomously, collaborate effectively in a remote setting, and contribute to architectural decisions is key. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications using React for the frontend and Node.js for the backend.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code for both client-side and server-side logic.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define and implement new features.
• Develop and consume RESTful APIs.

Requirements

• Significant experience as a Full Stack Developer, with demonstrated expertise in both frontend and backend development.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Strong experience with React.js and its ecosystem (e.g., Redux, Hooks).
• Extensive experience with Node.js and associated frameworks (e.g., Express.js).
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB) or SQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL).
• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Understanding of RESTful API design principles and best practices.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP) and containerization (Docker) is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, essential for remote teamwork.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
