Placements24 is hiring a remote Full-Stack Developer to join our distributed South Africa team. You will work across the stack, building features and APIs for a global user base while collaborating with product owners and designers from anywhere in SA.

The role emphasizes problem solving, autonomy, and delivering high-quality code in a remote-first environment, with a focus on scalable web applications and strong best-practice development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of professional full-stack web development experience.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 and modern front-end framework.
• Solid experience with at least one server-side language and framework (Node.js, Python/Django, Java/Spring).
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB.
• Excellent communication and ability to work remotely.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain user-facing features using modern front-end technologies (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
• Build and manage server-side logic and APIs using frameworks like Node.js, Python/Django, or Ruby on Rails.
