About the Role

Our client, a leading innovator in the FinTech sector, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Full Stack Developer to join their dynamic team in Centurion, Gauteng, ZA . This role is pivotal in designing, developing, and deploying robust and scalable web applications that power innovative financial solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise across both front-end and back-end technologies, with a passion for building high-performance, user-centric platforms. This hybrid position offers the flexibility to collaborate effectively on-site and work remotely. You will be instrumental in driving the technical direction of key projects, mentoring junior developers, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional software products within a fast-paced and agile environment. Your contributions will directly impact the user experience and operational efficiency of our financial platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain robust back-end services and APIs using languages such as Java, Python, or Node.js. Develop engaging and responsive front-end user interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js). Architect and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications. Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate requirements into technical solutions. Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code. Implement and manage database solutions (SQL and NoSQL). Contribute to code reviews, architectural discussions, and best practices within the engineering team. Mentor junior developers and foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience. A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in full-stack web development. Proficiency in back-end development with one or more languages (e.g., Java, Python, Node.js, C#). Strong experience with front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) and related technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript). Solid understanding of database technologies (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB). Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and microservices architecture is highly desirable. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, essential for hybrid teamwork.
