Job summary

Pathfinders Consulting Pty Ltd is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Developer to join its technology team in Cape Town. You’ll work across the stack, designing, building and maintaining backend services and user-facing applications.

You will contribute to both new product development and existing platforms, operating in an Agile environment with a modern tech stack. This contract role offers hybrid flexibility and the opportunity to own end-to-end delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in software development.
• Strong Java and Spring Boot experience.
• Solid full-stack development experience with React and TypeScript.
• Experience building REST APIs and microservices.
• Strong SQL and database design skills.
• Experience with containerised or cloud-native applications.
• Experience with Git, automated testing and CI/CD.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Our Client is looking for a Senior Full-Stack Developer to join its technology team with an immediate start.

This is an opportunity to work on meaningful digital products alongside an experienced and collaborative technology team.

What you’ll be doing

Java / Spring Boot | React / TypeScript | Contract | Cape Town

You’ll work across both new product development and existing platforms, designing, building and maintaining backend services and user-facing applications.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing and developing scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot
• Building and maintaining REST APIs and microservices
• Developing user-facing applications using React and TypeScript
• Working on integrations and distributed systems
• Designing and working with relational databases
• Contributing to containerised and cloud-native applications
• Writing automated tests and supporting CI/CD practices
• Troubleshooting and solving practical technical problems
• Working collaboratively within an Agile/Scrum environment
• Taking ownership of the quality, reliability and delivery of the solutions you build
