60 Degrees is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to help evolve a global SaaS platform and lead architectural decisions. You will drive major features end-to-end, balancing performance, security, and reliability while keeping hands-on coding responsibilities.

Join a high-performing team with cloud-native and distributed systems focus. The role offers hybrid work (2–3 days in office) and cross-continental collaboration between South Africa and Australia, based in Cape Town.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong software design and architecture experience within modern SaaS environments.
• Expertise in C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core and RESTful API development.
• Experience building and operating cloud-native applications.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and microservices architectures.
• Advanced SQL and database optimisation experience.
• Experience with Azure cloud services and Infrastructure as Code.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring, and operational excellence.
• Experience designing scalable, secure, and maintainable software platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of complex software solutions and cloud services.
• Drive architecture and design decisions across multiple systems and components.
• Own major features and services from design through long-term production operation.
• Design scalable APIs, integrations, and service workflows.
• Improve platform reliability, security, performance, and operational maturity.
• Lead technical investigations, root-cause analysis, and complex troubleshooting initiatives.
• Contribute to cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps best practices.
• Mentor engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and hands-on collaboration.
• Partner with Product and Engineering leaders to shape technical roadmaps.
• Influence engineering standards and help drive continuous improvement across the organisation.
