A leading company in the fresh fruit industry seeks an Accounting Manager to oversee creditor processes and manage financial reporting. The ideal candidate will possess a BCompt or BTech degree, along with extensive accounting experience and proficiency in Excel. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to function under pressure while ensuring timely financial operations.

Qualifications

• Completed articles at a registered auditing firm or 5 years’ accounting experience.
• Experience in fresh fruit industry.
• Cost accounting & standard cost principles essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage full creditors’ process and reporting.
• Monthly updating of standard costs and related variances.
• Invoicing and processing of commercial invoices.

Job Description

• Manage full creditors’ process on producers – Capturing and review of produce and related cost elements & related adjustment – Weekly preparation and review of payments to producers – Sending of payment remittances to producers – Reporting on producer payment summaries – Managing ledgers for any deductions on producer payments – Cashflow management
• Monthly updating and monitoring of standard costs and related variances
• Invoicing of costs back to producers
• Management of balance sheet items, relating to control accounts on standard cost
• Various reporting
• Onboarding of new customers and producers
• Processing of commercial invoices and credit notes
• Preparation and review of weekly and monthly commercial creditor payments
• Any other relevant accounting functions as required
