Senior Fruit Accountant

Minimum requirements:

1. BCompt/BTech Degree in Accounting.
2. Completed articles at a registered auditing firm or minimum 5 years relevant accounting experience.
3. Must have sufficient experience within the fresh fruit industry (non-negotiable).
4. Experience in export/import of fruit.
5. Extensive experience in Excel.
6. Cost accounting and standard cost principles essential.
7. Forex handling.

Duties and responsibilities:

1. Manage full creditors process on producers.
2. Capture and review produce and related cost elements and related adjustments.
3. Prepare and review weekly payments to producers.
4. Send payment remittances to producers.
5. Report on producer payment summaries.
6. Manage ledgers for any deductions on producer payments.
7. Cashflow management.
8. Update and monitor standard costs and related variances monthly.
9. Invoice costs back to producers.
10. Manage balance sheet items related to control accounts on standard costs.
11. Various reporting.
12. Onboard new customers and producers.
13. Process commercial invoices and credit notes.
14. Prepare and review weekly and monthly commercial creditor payments.
15. Perform any other relevant accounting functions as required.
