Placements24 is seeking a Senior Frontend Developer for a fully remote role within South Africa. You will lead frontend architecture, build scalable interfaces using React or Vue.js, and mentor junior developers in a distributed team.

The ideal candidate excels in clean code, performance, and collaboration with designers, product managers, and backend engineers. A strong focus on accessibility and security is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in frontend development with React or Vue.js frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
• Experience with state management libraries (Redux/Vuex) and build tools (Webpack/Babel).
• Experience with RESTful APIs and asynchronous requests.
• Proficiency with Git and version control workflows.
• Excellent problem solving and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and remote team collaboration skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy high-quality frontend code for web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks (React/Vue.js).
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers, backend developers, and product managers to translate wireframes into features.
• Architect and implement reusable components and frontend libraries.
• Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and responsiveness across devices and browsers.
• Conduct code reviews, mentor junior frontend developers and promote best practices.
• Champion accessibility, performance, and security in frontend work.
• Troubleshoot complex frontend issues and improve user experience.
• Stay updated with frontend technologies and propose innovative solutions.
