Placements24 is seeking a Senior Frontend Developer to join their fully remote team. You will architect features for a leading e-commerce platform, mentor junior developers, and drive performance improvements across devices.

The role requires 6+ years in frontend, strong JS (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and experience with React/Angular/Vue.js, plus state management with Redux or Zustand. Remote-friendly, Cape Town-based culture and opportunities await.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 6 years of professional frontend development experience.
• Expertise in JavaScript ES6+, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Experience with React, Angular, or Vue.js and modern state management.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and Git.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy high-quality responsive frontend code.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers and product managers to translate designs into features.
• Optimize components for speed, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Write clean, maintainable code and conduct code reviews.
• Mentor junior frontend developers and lead build pipelines.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and address technical debt.
• Stay up-to-date with frontend technologies and best practices.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and frontend direction.
• Ensure UI/UX feasibility and input for implementation.
