Placements24 in East London is seeking a talented Senior Frontend Developer to join our innovative team. This hybrid role involves designing and implementing cutting-edge user interfaces and interactive web experiences, collaborating with designers, backend developers, and product managers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for design, excellent coding skills, and a passion for intuitive user journeys, contributing to a dynamic and user-centric development culture in the Eastern Cape.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS or a related field.
5+ years of professional frontend development experience.
Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
Expertise in at least one modern frontend framework: React, Vue.js or Angular.
Experience with state management libraries and build tools (Webpack).
Understanding of UI/UX principles and accessibility standards.
Familiarity with RESTful APIs.

Responsibilities

Develop user-facing features using modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue.js, Angular).
Build reusable code and libraries for future use, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility.
Collaborate with backend developers to integrate frontend components with server-side logic.
Work closely with UI/UX designers to translate wireframes and mockups into functional interfaces.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, participating in code reviews.
