Placements24 in Durban seeks a Senior Formulation Scientist to lead innovative drug-delivery development across oral, parenteral, and topical dosage forms. You will design pre-formulation studies, optimize formulations, and ensure regulatory readiness.

The role requires a PhD/MS, at least 6 years of industry experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to mentor junior scientists within a cutting-edge facility.

Qualificações

• Ph.D./M.S. in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years hands-on pharmaceutical formulation development experience.
• Proven expertise in diverse dosage forms; parenteral or modified-release preferred.
• Solid knowledge of excipients, compatibility studies, and material science.
• Experience with GMP and regulatory submissions (IND, NDA).

Responsabilidades

• Lead formulation development of oral solids, injectables, and topicals.
• Design pre-formulation studies to characterize drug substances and excipients.
• Develop and optimize formulations using drug delivery technologies.
• Plan stability studies per ICH guidelines for shelf-life assessment.
• Collaborate with analytical development, manufacturing, and regulatory teams.
