Placements24 seeks a seasoned Portfolio Manager specializing in Fixed Income to lead investment strategies from Port Elizabeth. You will manage investment portfolios, develop strategies, and pursue superior risk-adjusted returns for clients.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record in fixed income asset management, CFA preferred, and a commitment to fiduciary responsibility. This senior role requires strong leadership and market insight.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field.
• CFA designation is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in fixed income portfolio management.
• Demonstrated success managing large fixed income portfolios and achieving benchmark-relative performance.
• In-depth knowledge of government and corporate bonds, derivatives, and other fixed income instruments.
• Proficiency in portfolio management software and analytical tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate complex investment concepts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute investment strategies for fixed income portfolios to meet client objectives and market conditions.
• Conduct macroeconomic analysis and sector research to identify opportunities and risks.
• Monitor portfolio risk including interest rate, credit, and liquidity exposures.
• Select securities and structure portfolios to meet return and risk targets.
• Engage with clients to discuss performance, strategy, and market outlook.
• Collaborate with research analysts and trading desks for optimal execution and portfolio management.
