Job summary

Fidelity Services Group in Johannesburg is seeking a Leading/Senior Firefighter to respond to fires, perform firefighting and rescue operations, and render basic medical care as required. You will operate and maintain firefighting equipment, participate in training, and ensure safety standards are met across shifts, supporting data protection and property protection for clients.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 minimum qualification.
• NFPA 1001 Firefighter 2 and Firefighter II certifications required.
• EMT certification and First Aid levels 1–3 advantageous.
• Hazmat knowledge and fire prevention procedures essential.
• Valid C1 driver’s license with PrDP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to fires, rescues and related incidents as directed.
• Operate firefighting equipment to control and extinguish fires.
• Provide basic medical care and Hazmat incident support.
• Train staff on firefighting theory and practical skills.
• Maintain equipment, vehicles and documentation for shifts.
• Conduct health and safety inspections and ensure compliance.
