Job summary

Jobs 4 All is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead fire sprinkler installations across Gauteng—covering planning, procurement, installation, commissioning, and handover. You will oversee budgets, schedules, and multi-disciplinary teams while maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships.

The role requires a deep understanding of fire protection, SANS standards, OHSA, and contract management, with travel to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric is required.
• Relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or similar.
• Minimum 8–10 years’ experience in fire sprinkler or fire protection industry.
• Experience managing large-scale fire sprinkler projects.
• Strong knowledge of SANS regulations and fire protection standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple fire sprinkler installation projects across commercial, industrial, retail, warehousing, and high-risk facilities.
• Oversee all phases of projects including planning, procurement, installation, commissioning, and final handover.
• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Monitor project progress and ensure milestones and deadlines are achieved.
• Ensure projects are delivered according to approved specifications, drawings, and client requirements.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
• Attend project meetings, technical meetings, and site progress reviews.
• Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
• Manage project variations, claims, and contractual matters effectively.
• Lead and supervise project managers, site supervisors, technicians, subcontractors, and installation teams.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to project staff.
• Ensure effective communication and coordination between all departments.
• Monitor team performance and ensure productivity targets are achieved.
• Prepare and manage project budgets and forecasts.
• Monitor project costs, profitability, and cash flow.
• Review and approve procurement, subcontractor appointments, and supplier agreements.
• Ensure accurate progress claims, invoicing, and project reporting.
• Identify commercial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with SANS standards, fire protection regulations, OHSA requirements, and client specifications.
• Review technical drawings, hydraulic calculations, and project designs where required.
• Ensure quality standards and installation best practices are maintained throughout all projects.
• Oversee inspections, testing, commissioning, and handover processes.
• Conduct regular site inspections and project audits.
• Resolve technical, operational, and commercial challenges efficiently.
• Support tendering and business development activities when required.
• Drive continuous improvement within project execution processes and operational procedures.
