Job summary

Chartered Solutions in Stellenbosch is seeking a Financial Reporting / Accounts Preparation Senior to support a UK accountancy firm from our offices in South Africa. You will prepare year-end accounts and assist with financial reporting for UK clients, collaborating with UK colleagues to ensure high-quality deliverables.

The role requires 1–3 years in accounts preparation, ACCA/CA(SA)/CIMA qualified or near completion, and solid knowledge of FRS 102 and UK GAAP.

Qualifications

ACCA (part-qualified or qualified) or CA(SA) designation (or in final stages) or CIMA qualified.
1–3 years of experience in accounts preparation or financial accounting, preferably UK environment.
Strong knowledge of FRS 102 and UK GAAP; experience applying these is advantageous.
Familiarity with Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or CaseWare is a plus.

Responsibilities

Prepare year-end accounts for UK-based clients in line with FRS 102 and UK GAAP.
Manage bookkeeping and trial balance review as part of the prep process.
Assist with audit file preparation when required.
Reconcile balance sheet accounts (assets, liabilities, bank).
Liaise with UK colleagues to resolve queries promptly and accurately.
Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within deadlines.
