Senior Financial Officer Johannesburg Gauteng

Salary : R80-100K per Month

Purpose of Position :

Complement Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Senior Financial Officer to join the finance team for a permanent position based in Johannesburg, Gauteng. Reporting directly to the Group Financial Director, you will play a critical part in enhancing financial operational efficiency and providing key insights to shape the company’s strategic direction. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in financial management, leadership, and business intelligence to drive financial excellence and sustainable growth.

Minimum Requirements Qualifications And Skills

  • Qualifications: A Chartered Accountant with CA (SA) accreditation SAICA.
  • Minimum of 8 years experience in financial management roles, with at least 5 years in a senior management position.
  • Strong understanding of local and international financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in financial planning, budgeting, cashflow management and analysis.
  • Experience in producing robust management accounts.
  • Leadership and experience in managing big financial teams.
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL programming, MS Excel, accounting systems and BI Applications.
  • Strategic thinking.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills.

Duties :

  • Manage financial operations, including cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support long term growth.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to the Directors and Executives.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis to support decision-making.
  • Oversee financial performance analysis and drive cost management initiatives.
  • Identify financial risks and develop mitigating strategies.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
  • Manage performance of the team and promote employee engagement.
