Job Purpose
To generate, analyze, and report reliable, meaningful financial and non-financial information to support business decision-making in line with Nedbank's strategy.
Job Responsibilities
- Forecast and predict monthly flash reports by analyzing trends and cost drivers.
- Generate and compare flash results against budgets and previous periods through variance analysis.
- Provide formal commentary and interpretation on financial data to stakeholders.
- Update reporting information based on business changes.
- Monitor and report actual spend against budgets.
- Conduct financial planning including annual budgets, 3-year plans, and quarterly forecasts by analyzing trends, initiatives, and cost drivers.
- Prepare and analyze various financial and non-financial reports for stakeholders monthly.
- Advise stakeholders on profitability by interpreting data and tracking performance monthly.
- Ensure accurate month-end and year-end financial closes.
- Collaborate with relevant teams to improve efficiencies.
- Align regional strategies with the bank's through planning and stakeholder engagement.
- Meet reporting deadlines and perform reconciliations timely.
- Stay updated on legislation and industry changes affecting the role.
- Demonstrate Nedbank's values and vision in interactions.
- Enhance personal capabilities through training and feedback.
- Maintain knowledge sharing and contribute to a positive culture.
- Participate in CSR initiatives and support transformation goals.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems, and policies.
Essential Qualifications - NQF Level
Advanced Diplomas / National 1st Degrees
Preferred Qualification
Bachelor of Commerce: Honours - Accounting
Minimum Experience Level
3-5 years in financial management, preferably in financial services.
