Job description

Senior Financial Manager

As a Senior Financial Manager, you will ensure the commercial viability of our project pipeline. By applying your extensive experience in Renewable Energy and leveraging your network in the South African finance sector, you will secure funding models, advise the company on strategic decisions, and lead engagements with investors and lenders.

Project Finance

1. Expand and maintain a network of investors and lenders for Renewable Energy projects (Wind, Solar, BESS).
2. Develop project finance concepts and models for the C&I market.
3. Conduct feasibility analyses of Renewable Energy projects throughout their lifecycle.
4. Support the development of bankable financial models.
5. Manage external stakeholders (investors, lenders, shareholders) during project development.
6. Prepare offers and present projects to investors, banks, offtakers, and other relevant parties.

Sales & Procurement

1. Oversee the sales and procurement processes, including relevant contracts.

Business Development & Offtake

1. Develop NPV savings models in cooperation with the BD / Offtake Manager.
2. Analyze power purchase agreements (PPAs) and evaluate their financial impact, risks, and opportunities.
3. Maintain financial models to optimize PPA terms, pricing structures, and contract terms to enhance project valuations.
4. Support the negotiation of bankable PPA and loan agreements.

General

1. Handle general commercial and financial tasks, coordinating services such as accounting, legal, and banking.
2. Provide guidance and financial advice to the company.

Your Profile

• Relevant degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., MBA, CA(SA)) preferred.
• Sound knowledge and experience in project financing, especially in renewable energies.
• Proficiency in contracting PPAs and associated financial models.
• Strong negotiation skills and persuasiveness.
• Structured work approach and goal orientation.
• Business fluent in English.
