We are looking for a Senior Financial Manager who is responsible for the delivery of accurate, timely, and IFRS-compliant financial reporting across the group. This role ensures compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations and manages the group’s audit, consolidation, and external financial communication processes.

Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Financial Reporting & Compliance
  • Ownership of month-end close & consolidations
  • Statutory accounts, IFRS & regulatory reporting (including all SARS related items)
  • Maintenance of financial controls & policies
  • Budgeting & forecasting process
  • Quarter end, Budget, 3YR plan
  • Board & Executive Reporting
  • Serve as the key liaison with auditors, regulators, and company secretaries
  • Support internal teams with technical accounting guidance and IFRS updates

Job Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • CA(SA) or equivalent Chartered Accountant qualification (essential)
  • 8+ years post-articles experience in financial reporting, with at least 3 years at a senior level
  • Strong background in group consolidations, statutory reporting, and IFRS compliance
  • Experience working with or within a listed company environment
  • Big 4 audit background or regulatory reporting experience is highly advantageous
  • Exposure to FinTech, Financial Services, or high-growth digital businesses is preferred

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE / TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Expert knowledge of IFRS and group consolidation principles
  • Understanding of listing requirements
  • Experience with multi-entity, multi-currency environments
  • Excellent Excel and financial modelling skills
  • Familiarity with internal control frameworks
