Job description

RPO Recruitment's client is looking for a Senior Financial Manager to join their team in Midrand.

As a Senior Financial Manager, you will be responsible for leading the financial planning and analysis function and ensuring the alignment of financial strategies with business objectives.

You will oversee the preparation of monthly financial reports, identify areas of improvement, and facilitate the development of new financial models to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

You will also provide financial expertise to management and liaise with external auditors to ensure compliance with regulation and tax standards.

Responsibilities
  1. Efficiency analysis and cost reduction: Identify operational inefficiencies and areas for cost-saving opportunities. Develop and implement strategies to streamline processes, optimize resource allocation, and reduce unnecessary expenditures.
  2. Monitoring, Maintenance, and Management of Finance Activities: Supervision of finance team activities, month-end workings and reconciliations, finance special projects and automation, risk identification and controls, treasury and cash management, IFRS and taxation compliance, internal audit and year-end audit, preparation of finance reporting, KPI analysis and commentary, monthly management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and tracking, year-end accounting pack.
Requirements
  • Post Graduate Honours Degree or Postgraduate Diploma
  • Bachelor of Commerce or related qualification
  • CA(SA)
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years' management experience
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in accounting/finance
  • Knowledge of financial statistics, accounting practices and principles
  • Knowledge of auditing practices and principles
