A leading recruitment firm in Johannesburg is seeking a seasoned finance leader to manage a team and ensure compliance with IFRS. You will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting, tax management, and cash flow forecasting. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor of Commerce Honours in Accounting and has over 15 years of experience, particularly within mid-sized companies. Excellent Excel skills and experience with ERP systems are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 15 years experience, ideally with mid-sized companies and external stakeholder reporting.
  • Leadership experience in a financial role.
  • Working knowledge of IFRS and exposure to ERP systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the finance team, ensuring IFRS compliance.
  • Oversee monthly reporting, Annual Financial Statements, and audit engagements.
  • Manage VAT, income tax returns, and SARS queries.
  • Handle insurance matters and budget preparation.
  • Ensure effectiveness, efficiency, and compliance in key processes.
  • Project management: scope, plan, execute, coordinate, and debrief projects.
  • Cash flow management, forecasting, and reporting to Exco, Board, and funders.
  • Ad hoc financial management and operational tasks.
  • Be eligible to register as a Key Individual under the FSCA.
