Our client in the agricultural industry is seeking a Senior Financial Clerk to join their team. This role requires a skilled professional with a strong financial background to ensure accurate, timely, and complete accounting of income and expenses. Acting as a financial liaison for suppliers, you will play a key role in maintaining the client’s professional image through thorough reconciliation, cashflow forecasting, and reporting.

Minimum Requirements:

• Matric Certificate required
• Financial certification preferred, or finance-related background considered
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Capture and process supplier and producer invoices accurately
• Correctly allocate costs to sales and purchase orders
• Verify invoices for compliance with SARS Tax requirements
• Record bank transactions in the accounting system, matching payments and deposits
• Send remittance advice
• Ensure timely receipt of supplier invoices and statements
• Address supplier queries and manage correspondence
• Obtain approvals for payments
• Reconcile debtor, creditor, and bank accounts
• Assist in cashflow forecasting
• Prepare financial reports and support the annual audit
• Manage filing and process debit / credit card transactions
• Post journals in the accounting system
