This position is within a well-established company with a national footprint, for a financial advisor managing an existing portfolio of clients for a fixed salary.
Your Qualifications and Experience
- Formal Education:
- BCom
- Post Graduation Diploma in Financial Planning
- CFP Accreditation
- RE Qualification
- Experience:
- Approximately 5 years in a Wealth Management, Paraplanner, or Financial Advisory role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Afrikaans at all levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Portfolio Reviews:
- Analyze the performance of client portfolios and prepare review reports according to company policies.
- Conduct client reviews and ensure timely submission of reports.
- Servicing Existing Clients:
- Provide ongoing financial advice on portfolios, risk, market trends, and investment performance.
- Process client instructions related to switches, repurchases, maturities, surrenders, and transfers.
- Address client concerns, queries, and complaints.
- Assist with opening CCM accounts, authorize payments, and support tax-related queries.
- Support clients with wills and estate execution in collaboration with executors.
- Ensure all client interactions adhere to the Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles.
- Demonstrate understanding of shares and offshore investment processes.
- Generating New Business:
- Identify and promote new business opportunities and services.
- Compile estate duty calculations, risk cover, and investment proposals.
- Leadership & Support:
- Oversee Junior Wealth Managers and ensure compliance.
- Identify training needs and coordinate training sessions.
- Conduct quality control on team outputs.
- Collaborate with service providers to resolve client issues.
- General Administration:
- Document client interactions promptly.
- Maintain and update client records and ensure compliance with FICA and FAIS.
